Global Energy Trading
Charles Levick have partnered with a global Energy Trading business, and we have been commissioned to find a highly motivated Senior Gas Trader as they continue to expand their ever-growing team.
Your role & responsibilities
• Manage your own trading portfolio and run proprietary trading strategies across UK and European Gas markets
• Work closely with analysts to generate successful trading strategies and market insights
• Contribute to the development of forecasting models and trading tools
• Maintain strong relationships with colleagues across risk management, operations and analytics
• Actively identify new opportunities within the UK and European gas markets
Must Have
• At least 5 years of experience trading gas markets, with exposure to Continental European hubs (TTF, NBP, PEG, THE, etc.)
• A proven track record of at least 5 years of profitable active proprietary trading
• Strong understanding of EU gas fundamentals, storage dynamics, LNG flows, pipeline constraints and weather-driven demand
• Experience gained within international trading houses, banks, or major utilities with a focus on news-driven and fundamentals-based trading activities
• Strong numerical, analytical and economic background (degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
